Chris spent a year at the Sydney Children's Hospital as part of his GP training and trained in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine. Chris received his Fellowship in General Practice in 2008 and during his training developed an interest in Sexual Health Medicine and HIV medicine. His interest in sexual health has lead him to undertake a Masters of Public Health and he is also a trainee in the College of Physicians Sexual Health Chapter.

Chris is a current member of the Australasian Society of HIV Medicine and an s100 medication prescriber. Chris has a Diploma in Music for the violin.
