She is also bilingual (Spanish speaking) and enjoys working with the diverse range of people found in general practice.

    After leaving hospital work Beth travelled overseas for 6 years. She experienced the richness and difference of rural and urban settings in the Third World, including a nine month period as the only resident doctor in an isolated mountain village.

    For Beth, good medicine involves listening to and assisting individuals and families so through working together optimal health can be enjoyed.

She is a member of the Obesity Management Network at the National Faculty of Special Interest at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Daiva understands the complexity of obesity as a disease very well, along with its related illnesses, and patients’ physical and psychological challenges. She therefore provides a fully comprehensive approach to weight loss management, including advice about various diets, exercise programs, weight loss medications and introduction to weight loss surgery, if necessary. Dr Daiva was awarded the SCOPE Certificate in 2021. SCOPE certification is the only internationally recognised certificate in Obesity management and is awarded by the World Obesity Federation. Furthermore, recently the Surgical Review Corporation (USA) accredited Dr Daiva as a Care Specialist in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
