Masks or face-coverings are still recommended in our practice – please bring your own if you have one. If you have any cold or flu symptoms, we prefer you book a telehealth (phone or video) appointment rather than come in. If you have symptoms and you do require a face-to-face appointment, we request you wear a mask and you will need to produce a negative RAT test. Please also note that the removal of COVID isolation rules is impacting our resources and we are needing to prioritise acutely unwell patients as well as care and advice for COVID patients. Dr Madelein Cronje (MBChB) Madelein graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 1988 and worked as General Practitioner for 25 years before relocating to Australia.
Her experience as General Practitioner ranges from initially piloting care models for patients in disadvantaged rural areas by establishing and servicing medical clinics, dedicated to change the health outcomes of families in remote locations in Mpumalanga, South Africa, including involvement in research to manage chronic Bilharzia infection in rural communities.
She also has extensive experience in general practice in urban settings and is enjoying applying that in the Australian context. Madelein has worked in Caloundra since 2017 and has a broad interest in all aspects of general practice care based on compassion and caring for the patient as a whole.
