Professional statement
Dr Salman Ahmad graduated from Khyber Medical College, Pakistan in 2005 and has since enjoyed a varied medical career. He completed his internship in hospitals in Pakistan before relocating to Australia, where he worked as a resident medical officer in Perth, Rockhampton and Adelaide.
Salman joined the Dapto Medical Centre in 2011 and has a special interest in many areas such as men’s and women’s health, skin and cosmetic conditions, occupational health, travel medicine, aged care, antenatal care, cardiology and chronic disease management as well as infectious disease. His interests further include mental health, orthopaedics, paediatrics, pain management, refugee health, respiratory medicine, sexual health and veteran’s health. Salman also performs minor surgeries.
In his time away from work, Salman enjoys reading, travelling, movies and walking.
