    At Family Planning Australia, our experienced nurses have appointments for STI screening and cervical screening.

    Sexually Transmissible Infection (STI) Screening (no symptoms) For routine testing only. We’ll ask you a few questions about your recent sexual activity, but don’t worry, everything's confidential. At the end we’ll tell you what to do next and how you can protect yourself in the future.

    Cervical Screening Test (no symptoms) For routine testing only. The Cervical Screening Test is quick, simple and only takes a few minutes. You may be eligible to self-collected or your nurse will collect a sample for you. Family Planning Australia - Fairfield

We provide reproductive and sexual health services for people of all ages, including:

  • contraception
  • sexually transmissible infections - testing and treatment
  • sexual function and dysfunction
  • pregnancy - planning, testing and postnatal checks
  • pregnancy options counselling
  • cervical cancer screening
  • management of menstrual and gynaecological issues
  • menopause information and management

We also provide post graduate training for doctors and nurses in NSW. This means that there may be another doctor or nurse in the room during your consultation. Please let our staff know if you are not comfortable with a trainee being present during your consultation.

Languages other than English: If you require an interpreter to be present during your consultation, please advise the receptionist ahead of your appointment.

Directions & Parking

Free parking is available behind Family Planning Australia Fairfield, or in the council carpark across the road on Nelson Street. The clinic is a short walk from Fairfield train station. You can plan your trip on public transport.

Billing Policy

As a not-for-profit organisation we rely on donations, self-generated income and government funding to provide our services. We charge a low fee for our clinical services. These fees reflect the specialised services we provide while ensuring all clients can access our services. We are committed to ensuring our services are accessible for all. - Services are bulk billed to clients aged 18 years or under, all concession card holders, full time students and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people. - If other clients are unable to access our services due to financial hardship our clinicians can discuss bulk billing on an individual, case-by-case basis.
