Our practice offers bulk billing for standard consultations from Monday to Friday, for all patients with a valid Medicare card. An out of pocket expense apply to ALL consultations on Weekends and Public Holidays and is payable at the time of appointment. Out of pocket expenses apply for procedural consultations with a GP at all times. Our policy for the prescription of controlled medications can be found on our website, or from the practice. If your appointment is regarding a prescription for a controlled medication, please ensure you read this policy prior to booking. Our practice may be closed, or offer alternative trading hours on weekends and public holidays. Appointment availability on these days will be updated accordingly.     Dr Hui Wang grew up and trained in New Zealand completing her medical degree in 2010. She started work in the Australian system Feb 2024 with the wonderful GMMC team, before moving to MPMC in Oct 2024. She obtained her specialist General Practice Fellowship in 2019 and worked as a GP and Travel Doctor in Palmerston North and Wellington. Prior to General Practice she spent time upskilling in numerous hospital specialties obtaining her diploma in Women's Health and Travel Medicine along the way and also worked for a period as a cruise ship physician and telehealth physician. She works part time and spends the rest of her time looking after two busy young boys. She enjoys all aspects of general practice especially looking after children and families.

    Days available: Monday, Tuesday (morning), Wednesday and Friday

    Consultation times: Dr Hui Wang offers 20min appointments via in person or telehealth. 10min short appointments can be requested via reception for existing patients for simple issues. Urgent same day appointments: please speak to reception (subject to availability).

  • Dr Raheel Angela Peter

    Dr Raheel Angela Peter is an experienced doctor who has been practicing for the past 14 years in Malaysia. Before commencing as a General Practitioner, Dr Angela has enjoyed working in the Emergency Department and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

    Dr Angela holds a MBBS degree and is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

    She has a special interest in Women's Health, Chronic Disease, and Skin (Dermatology). She is an empathic listener and aims to build a good doctor-patient relationship in order to provide better care. Besides her dedication to medicine, Dr Angela enjoys traveling, cooking and looking after her 2 kids.

Geelong Marketplace Medical Centre is a brand new Bulk Billing* General Practice, located along Ryrie Street, in Geelong's CBD. As part of the Ryrie Health Hub and boasting a warm and elegant setting, our Centre provides comfort and convenience, as well as exemplary care to the Geelong Community and visitors to the region.

*Patients must hold a valid Medicare card to be eligible for bulk billing.

Bulk Billing is not available on Weekends/Public Holidays - ALL consultations will incur an out of pocket expense. Please note that immunisations/injections, form completion/medicals for pre-employment, extensive work cover case management, procedures (unless prior arrangement with the GP) and long appointments (unless prior arrangement with the GP) cannot be booked on weekends and/or public holidays.

**Standard consultations (10 minutes) can cover 1 - 2 issues. Long consultations (20 minutes) can cover 2-3 issues. Please be mindful when booking, and select the suitable option for your situation.

**Please be advised that ALL Vaccination or Childhood Immunistations must be booked through contact with the Practice on 03 5229 7999. These cannot be booked online.

**For Cervical Screening, Implanon Procedures, or IUD Procedures please contact our centre on 03 5229 7999 for more information.

Directions & Parking

Entrance to the Practice directly would be from the Little Ryrie Street Car Park, or through the Health Hub from Ryrie Street end. Two and Four hourly parking is available around the main building.

Billing Policy

Geelong Marketplace Medical Centre offers Bulk Billing to eligible patients, for consultations held Monday to Friday. Patients must hold a valid Medicare card to be eligible for bulk billing. All other patients may incur an out of pocket fee. An out of pocket expense applies to all patients for Weekend and Public Holiday appointments, payable at the time of the appointment.
