Masks or face-coverings are still recommended in our practice – please bring your own if you have one. If you have any cold or flu symptoms, we prefer you book a telehealth (phone or video) appointment rather than come in. If you have symptoms and you do require a face-to-face appointment, we request you wear a mask and you will need to produce a negative RAT test. Please also note that the removal of COVID isolation rules is impacting our resources and we are needing to prioritise acutely unwell patients as well as care and advice for COVID patients. This may result in some delays and a shortage of routine and non-urgent appointments. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your support.
Professional statement
Dr Bastian Seidel studied medicine in Germany and South Africa. He underwent postgraduate training in the UK, USA and Hong Kong before moving to Australia in 2007. He is the Chair of the Huon Medical Group and Clinical Professor at the University of Tasmania. Bastian is a former President of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He holds a research doctorate in paediatric immunology and has published peer-reviewed, scientific articles as well as books in general medicine, health services research and medical education. Bastian has interests in complex chronic medical conditions, palliative care and aged care.
